The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Xbox fan sites began covering about PlayStation unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that Microsoft remains determined to attract subscribers with strong games on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

The duo of games you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Major Titles on the Horizon

On Jan. 13, the platform will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and you should try it regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Robust Selection of Games

Ultimately, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service by themselves. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — rendering them ideal prospects to find a new audience on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
