FC Barcelona Set to Play First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match versus the German side next month at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
